We will explore simple circuits and write a lab report to go along with it.

Your first challenge is to list all the types of energy that your family uses in your home and then all the items that use that type of energy.

Created by humans Carbon Dioxide is one of the worst pollutants. Air Pollution is created by: Cars, Power plants and garbage.	Polluted waters aren’t safe to drink or swim in and can cause illness. Humans can cause water pollution by: Throwing garbage in the water Leaks from factories Using a lot of water in the home without using environmentally friendly products. Laundry and Shampoo.

What can I do? Recycle and use water more than once Carpool with friends Take the bus Ride your bike Cut down on energy use by turning off lights, unplugging appliances and electronics. Finding ways to use less water. What are some examples of this?

Pink Day- Planning

Next Week on Wed it will be pink day. In honor of that day we are going to start talking about it today. 

First on a piece of paper write down everything you think of when you see the color pink. 




Now what do you think of when you see the colour pink?

For Pink day we will be decorating our door for anti bullying today each one of you will plan out your own anti bullying door. Then we will choose part of each of your design and decorate our class door on Tuesday!

Valentines Bags

Today we will be creating our very own Valentines Bags!

Step one: Take a paper bag and write your name at the bottom.

Step two: Cut a heart out and glue googly eyes on it. Draw anything else you want on it's face. 

Step three: Cut out for strips of paper. Fold them back and forth. Glue them on as arms and legs.

Step four: Cut out four little hearts and glue them on as hands and feet. 

Step five: Fluff out your bag so it can sit on your desk to dry. 

Meat and Alternatives

In health today we are looking at Meat and Alternatives. 

Facts: It is the smallest food group. 

Give us: Important nutrients that help us grow. 

Variety: Gives us Proteins to help us grow and helps us fight colds and infections. 

Servings: We should have one serving a day. 

Water Cycle

Today in class we are looking at the four stages of the water cycle! We will be making our own water cycle experiment.

Wonderful Wed and Thursday

The past two days have been awesome for those of us here in grade one and two land! On wed we finished building our monsters the class did a great job and I really love how they all made unique monsters!

Today we celebrated groundhog day :) played some fun games and hoped for spring or winter depending on who you are!

Some work has come home to be signed I will see you all on Monday have a great PA day.
